Do you consider Filipinos latinos?

They speak tagalog and english but no latin languages.

  1. No, I consider them Filipino.  The idea of "race" is tenuous, merely a social phenomenon with no biological basis.


  2. No, Filipinos are South East Asian, but were influenced by Spain because they took over and controlled the archipelago for almost 600 years. Look at every culture / food the Filipinos have which are not Spaniard. Pancit? = Chow mein, Lumpia = Egg role? It is all Asian. You need to have Spanish as your official language to be Hispanic. We Asian, not Latino / Hispanic or Pacific islanders.

  3. no, theyre just influenced by the spaniards, so i dont consider them latinos. i would say theyre SE asians or pacific islanders...

  9. No, my mom is half filipina and I would say they are asians.  I wasn't raised in filipino culture, but I do know enough about it to say that it is nothing like latino culture.  Yea, sure the spaniards had possession of the islands, but most filipinos look like other south east asians.
