Well before shaq came in he was a Center but know that shaq is here and robin is backup Center means that Amare is a PF which is great hes my favorite player YAY!!!!!!

When he was drafted in NBA 2003 draft by phoenix, he's original postion was Power Forward!!! but in the line-up today of phoenix, I will like to see him play as Power Forward!!!coz if he will play center wat is there purpose that they trade shawn marion for old grand daddy-shaq!!!shaq will not have playng tme coz amare is too good for him!!!

Amare is a naturally a PF though he can play the C position.

Power forward who has to play centre as Suns lack a true centre pre-Shaq era. He also lacks that tenacity on 1vs1 defence to play centre.

He's a dominant power forward but he's not a true center. He has only played center due to pheonix's lack of a true center (until shaq). Amare is most definitely a power forward.

PF for sure that the position he is suppose to play. For years in PHX though he played center so he could be both!!

PF. He can play center but really isn't fit for it. I can compare it to the Warriors. Al Harrington is a 6'9 PF, but he plays center sometimes. Anyways that's why the Suns wanted Shaq, because they wanted Amare to be a PF.

he is a center on the Suns or any running team, but if he wasnt on the Suns, Warriors or Denver he would be a power foward.
