  1. Yeah, I actually think that is very rude and it annoys me big time.  Unless, it's just my sister in the other room trying to get my attention to show me something funny (or something along those lines).

  2. Yelling is never appropriate in any situation unless you are being attacked. Not even if you are having an argument.

  3. If it was your boss, you just have to tolerate it. The boss is boss.

Otherwise, it depends. Your idea of yelling may be the other person's idea of speaking up. Your idea of not a bit important may be the other person's idea of very important, or at least urgent (like a telephone call?). If you are talking about siblings, no, it isn't disrespectful, it is just informal.

  4. Yep.

  5. OH i hate that! Especially when you are in the middle of something that actually IS important. Yes, disrespectful.

  6. Yes, I consider it rude to YELL for or at someone.  If I can't hear them if they speak normally how can I answer without yelling back.  I think it sets negative feelings, even if the yelling is not directed to me.  I get bad feelings when I visit friends and one yells to the other.  Usually they cannot understand what the yeller is saying and yell back.  It feels like I am intruding on an argument.

  7. No, are you this picky with everything?  get over yourself!

  8. I got "hollered" for my whole life.  It's very annoying...I just want people to act civilized around me.

  9. I find it very annoying to the point I won't answer them no matter how many times they yell out.  If they want something they'll eventually give up and come to you and ask!
