  1. orderly or constant with occasional chaos. It depends where you live alot but overall this is the case.

  2. No.

Order and chaos are illusions. They are terms for ideas we invented to try to understand things. But things just "are".

  3. It is orderly but appears to be chaotic. What we perceive as chaos is really just something that we don't know the cause of.

  4. Order enveloping "chaos". I use quotations because chaos is really just an unmanageably complex arrangement of simple components.

Trying to quantize a chaotic system is much like trying to put together a jigsaw puzzle in the middle of a windstorm: you have all the pieces in front of you, but circumstances prevent you from being able to arrange them correctly.

  5. the first one

Its amazing how in balance things need to be for everything to work together and maintain the order its in now in our universe and on this planet and in our bodies, etc etc

If it was mostly chaos we would all be dead by now.

  6. There is a certain order but underlying it is total chaos.

  7. It's an Eristic vs. Aneristic push-pull kind of a thing.

  8. I do not concern myself with such esoteric thoughts. I leave that to the scientists qualified to mull over questions such as yours. My only concern is living my life as best as I can and enjoying every moment of it. This means avoiding as much chaos as humanly possible, because this life is the only CERTAIN thing I know.

  9. “The more I examine the universe and the details of its architecture, the more evidence I

find that the universe in some sense must have known we were coming.” - Freeman Dyson (physicist)

“The exquisite order displayed by our scientific understanding of the physical world calls

for the divine.” - Vera Kistiakowsky (physicist)

  10. Hmmm, the second sounds rather Discordian.

    I'd say neither.

The greater the attempt to create order, the greater the chaos that is created.  The more rules and laws created to keep stability, the greater the influence chaos has on society if one is broken.  So I think it fluctuates between the two.  Order and chaos, that is.  In my own opinion, neither can exist at the same time.

But that's just my own theory, I'm sure many disagree.

Edit:  Or maybe, it's not that they can't exist at the same time, but that there is a constant struggle between the two.  One doesn't win out over the other.  There appears to be more order in the world, but chaos has a greater impact on us as a whole, and much of it is unseen to us.

Good question, though.  You get a star.

  11. I love this question.

    Here we go.

IF the universe is chaos, we are also part of that chaos...which will cause us to think it looks orderly because we are part of it.

IF the universe is ordergly, we are part of that order...but also imperfect...which will cause us to think it looks like chaos because we aren't able to see the perfect order.

SO...if we think the universe is chaos...it is actually orderly.  And if we think it is orderly...it is actually chaos.  But, now if we have figured this out we will be caught in a loop....claiming it is chaos that will actually make it orderly...which in turn will mean it is actually chaos so it is actually order...forever...and ever...and ever.

Did I mention I love this question?

  12. It often appears to us as completely in chaos, but in reality it is completely in order. I love this question because it is something that I used to think about a lot. Everything else in this world is perfect, the animal kingdom  never attacks itself with certain animals deciding to hate other ones. The existence in the animal world is completely perfect in that it was designed and operates on a complete system that never fails, survival of the fittest and always in perfect harmony.

Nature itself never needs anything. It is always changing and making way for new growth as the old dies off. It is always complete with no help from anyone else to sustain it nor assist it. So why then is the human race filled with such anger, hatred, greed, pain, suffering, loss, war, envy, crime, and utter disgust?

If the world seems in a state of chaos and everything in it, other than the people, are in perfect order, it is only us that need to change. If we want this world to stop getting any worse and our pain and suffering to stop increasing, we have to get to the bottom of why we cause such grief in the first place.

Here is a neat video if you are interested in what I mentioned here. It explains a great deal more about our condition in this life and the choices we have in correcting our own chaos into order. Hope it helps to answer your question. Best wishes.

  13. The universe is in total harmony, and totally uniformed, all except the earth and its inhabitants....or so it seems to me !

  14. The universe is in a state of constant dynamics.

There is nothing supernatural about the universe.

  15. Constant, with occasional chaos. That's not opinion, that's observable.

  16. There is a unique order in the universe, it's works well all by itself, all the seemingly random chaos the universe creates has a purpose.

  17. Ha.  That's the same as asking if a zebra is white with black stripes or black with white stripes.  Don't know.

    All the best!
