  1. 2 me it sounds like cyberbullying but everyone has their own opinions. b/c ur concerned about this talk 2 the girls parents and tell them how u feel about this and u dont want ur daughters self-esteem 2 be ruined.

  2. anything rude or harmful

via internet cellphone or NON-face to face connection is cyber bullying...its pretty serious now days...

you could take her phone to the police station. If it gets serious, and they will do somethign about it.

  3. I would consider it harassment, regardless of it being cyber or not.

  4. Block their number or block them from myspace or whatever it is you're kid is getting those messages from. Why put up with anymore of that?

  5. Yes , it is , and you can make a police report on it too , I only know this because I'm really good friends with a friend of mine's father , and i was talking to him about his daughter trying to find D-driver so she could get drunk (  she's only 19 ) so when she got home her father took her plates off her car .. anyways , she texted me telling me that she didnt care if i was almost 7 months pregnant or not , she was going kick my a**  the next time she seen me .... My husband made me go to the police about it , and they arrested her the next day ..

  6. Ahem... You think?

  7. Kyle - Forget it man, intelligent answers don't seem to work. Pretend to be female, and pretend it is the time of the month, and start answering without rationalizing - you might make some progress then.

  8. Is your daughter bipolar? Is she of below average inteligence?  I know a couple girls who are bi-polar and they can be very b**chy at times and people will let them know that but its true and they know it.  I am not trying to insult your daughter by asking these questions but if she did something in manic state that was bi**chy she might have upset a friend to say those things.

I would get to the bottom of the situation before you start saying its bullying.  If my child said those things to someone who insulted them first it would not be bullying but retaliation.  I would be upset with them for saying those things but I would not consider them a bully unless it was unprovoked.

If you make fun of someone at school and they turn around and beat you up, is that person the bully or is the person who was insulting them the bully?

I feel if your daughter did nothing wrong then yes it is bullying but if she instigated then she needs to learn if you dish it you have to be able to take it.

  9. Here is my take.  I have a bipolar daughter and an autistic son.  They both get teased and verbally attacked on a daily basis in school.  My son gets spit on etc.  The kids that do this don't get into trouble.  they know how to not get caught.  Then my children do get into trouble when they fight back because they have these problems and the teachers etc automatically think it must be their fault.  No child should ever be called names because they are hurtful.  All this so-called harmless name calling made my son suicidal.  You need to protect your daughter's self-esteem at all costs.  What may seem like a irritant to you could be a serious situation to her that could ultimately turn into a dangerous situation.  I would go to the girl's parents and the police and make sure that it stops.  If that does not work, you can always bring charges against the parents.  Don't listen to people that try to minimize the situation.  The only person that matters here is your daughter and her mental health.

  10. yup

  11. Texting on her phone?  That is just plain harassment and unacceptable, where do kids get the idea that this c**p is in any way OK?
