  1. I think I'm a good parent but I'm always striving to be a better parent.  I do plenty of good things for my babies but I wish I could do more.

  2. I think I'm a great parent (not that I'm perfect, not close enough).

I try to see everything from their point of view first. I allow them to decide when they are ready for the next steps. I basically follow their lead. I am relaxed. I use humour to discipline.

At the same time I am mommy. I have a backbone. I am boss, but I am open to negotiation on most issues (and they know nonnegotiable means don't bother).

I treat my children with respect, tolerance and with a great deal of love.

I have a no spanking rule, and they love that. They behave without it. I have found that natural consequences really are the best form of discipline. I never lie to them, and expect the same in return (separate discipline for the lie).

  3. Not all parents are perfect, but i do try my best and always put my child first before my own feelings.

I believe the key to being a good parent is patience and giving lots of love.
