I like to make my own. I'm often disappointed when I order something that I know I can do better. I'll stick to something that I do not make myself such as prime rib when I go out.

We cook ours at home out on the porch in our baby fry daddy or bar-b-q pit because it does not stink up the house that way.  i don't eat fish in restaurants, but I do eat stuffed shrimp and shrimp po boys in restaurants. I don't eat farm raised fish. That is like eating genetic chicken to me. I think it is important to know where your fish came from.  Besides, it's more fun to cook outside especially during sunset time.

I luckily have a husband who works in the fishing business and we get all or our seafood free. I cook at home, but go out for fried seafood because we don't have it fried that often so I don't want to waste the oil.
