Question:

Do you cry more easily after having your baby?

Since having my first child, I can cry at anything vaguely emotional whether it be - a cartoon, a cheesy sad film...it's terrible. Just a bit of sad music or whatever can really set me off.

I wasn't exactly cold as ice before, but it did take a lot to get me going. Now I just feel like a great big wuss.

Has this happened to any other mothers?

  1. Absolutely!

  2. hormones and completely normal. I'm semi going through this now and my daughter is 10 days old. Went through it with my first too.

  3. omg yes lol thought i was the only one   i still do but i try not to so people wont ask why lol  and my son is almost 4 yrs old!!!  rofl

glad u asked that question!  i almost cry at tv songs reading things and his first day of school when he first rode a sheep in the rodeo lmao lots of things

  4. Me too!!I have three children and the youngest was born 14 months ago.....I cry at everything especially when it involves other children being abused or hurt in some other way, starving children etc....I'm terrible.I thought it was just me too xx

  5. YES!!  I cry at the drop of a hat now that I've had my daughter!  It was terrible until she was about a month old and it got a little better but I'm still very emotional....

  6. YES, OMG!! I thought it was just me. It's the change in hormones.

Your body resets, acne, cramps, all that stuff comes back.

  7. I agree also! After i had my daughter i would get so emotional over the simplest things. Even when she would cry, id look at her and start crying too. I think it helps you to be more intune with our babies. Besides easier to cry gets that stress out faster, and we all know how easily it is to be stressed with babies (that could be another reason why)

  8. I do because I am so tired I can't even hold my head up!  I sit and think about everyone else sleeping all night since I can't.  Pregnancy and after birth is such an emotional roller coaster!  :)  You are not the only one!!!  :0)  Congrats on the baby!!!

  9. Yep, I'm the same way.

  10. I have always cried at really stupid things, but since having my children I cry so much easier when it is about sad things that happen to children.

  11. I do agree! I think your emotions are far softer when you have children and my Mother swears the same! I'm sure post-pregnancy, your hormones take a while to settle down, but even 2 years on - I find some truth in what you're saying!

  12. O yes.. Its called post pardum depression....

I just had a child 3 months ago and my mood swings are flying high... I can be happy one time, sad at one point, and then pissy at another..

Your body has just been through alot of changes and I mean we have a baby inside of us for 9 months straight and it takes awhile for it to get back in the swing of things..

Ask your doctor for some anti-depressants just until you can get back in the swing of things.. Or if you don't want to take medication try and talk to other moms that seems to help tooo..

  13. Yeah!  It's funny you should mention that.  I went to my younger sister's dance recital a few weeks ago, and at the beginning they had baby pics and now pics of all the Seniors that are graduating, put in a slide show with music, and here I am doing all I can not to cry, and I didn't even know any of the girls!  It's amazing.  I definitely tear up a lot easier than I ever did before I had my daughter.  Nice to know I'm not the only one!  LOL
