Krissy N- That is so cool. I do the exact same thing. When I was 15 I wrote an entire movie based on Styx's Pieces of Eight album. To this day I still get ideas from songs

  1. Yes.

I love to daydream when listening to music, sometimes I use certain songs at the background music for a little story or scenario  I'm putting together in my head at random times

  2. Definitely! I'm always making music videos in my head.

  3. Yes, all the time.

  4. All the time, I never get things done.

  5. yes i do and aways have and now that someone asked i have not had the time to do that for a while, always on the go, but maybe i will make myself a little time ....thanks

  6. Yup I end up making my own music videos if it doesn't have one

  7. Yes, it probably happens 50% of the time.

I think up all sorts of things, everything, I suppose.

  8. Only when I'm really tired and half asleep.

  9. Yes. How'd you know?

  10. I do sometimes. It's usually when I'm listening to a band like isis that tends to have very long songs. But in a way I'm still enjoying the music when I daydream.

  11. absolutely!!!!

sometimes when i'm driving in the car and i start to really pay attention to the words in the song i tend to get lost in it. then the next thing i know i've arrived at my destination and it's sad but true---i don't remember the trip there!!!!

also, a certain song may come on the radio and it can bring me back to an exact moment from the past and sometimes the memory can have such detail to it that i just go back with it and enjoy the memory and smile!!!!

  12. I daydream while listening to music and while watching tv,that's when I write my best songs, perform my greatest performances, direct stage plays,movies,sit-coms, all mentally of course sometimes I draw or write or paint because of some of my daydreams while I listen to music or watch tv....Blessings Yahoo

  13. yes. a ton! you don't feel the music if you don't daydream about it!

  14. yeah =)

  15. Yeah, usually making up a vid for the song in my head, or thinking about whatever's going on in my life that relates to the song

  16. NOPE, never, seriously. I have always benn complimented on my sharp awareness and keeping it in reality skills. I have never been a dreamer or I never really ever fantasize about anything. especially any kind of heavenly afterlife with angels streets of gold or any of that

SH**. In short I am a 110% full blown REALIST.

I have always been told that I have high and above average awareness skills so I don't ever really slip into dream land that much unless its sleep triggered and oriented so I may dream in my biological sleeping needs and its always some really strange odd bizarre S**

  17. i do indeed. i think about how i could write a story, or a movie script, to the song that i am listening to. right now tis coldplay - fix you. what do you think you could get out of that song...boy let me tell you, a whole lot of love and/or heartbreak. :)

  18. I concentrate on it a lot, but sometimes when I'm in the daydreaming mood, I'll tend to dose off :)

  19. Oh yeah all the time

  20. yeah.haha.for awhile i thought

i was the only person who did.

  21. Good question.

For the most part no, unless you count visualizing. Like if I were to hear "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds", I picture all the things they mention.

  22. Every time you see me with my Ipod, Im off in space in a matter of seconds.

  23. All the time!

  24. no

  25. I sometimes write little shorts based on songs.  Mostly Metallica.  I'm forming one around The Day That Never Comes right now.

Music can sometimes be like...a hallucinogenic.

  26. Constantly!

Music {of many genres} is the backbone of that novel I'm trying to write, and the songs of two particular bands and a variety from others inspire my artwork...

This may explain why I don't drive : radio + me daydreaming = car wreck!

  27. yeah.

i'm writing (or trying to) write a novel, and whenever i hit a song that really hits a chord with me, or really fits a certain scene i'm thinking about, i like to play that one over and over.

so yeah, i kind of envision what's going to happen in my head.

  28. All the time! And then I'll find I've listened to at least 5 songs without concentrating on them, and then I go back and listen to them.
