Question:

Do you do anything to supplement you running(sprinting and long-distance), like biking or lifting?

Hey so I was wondering if anyone on here did any other kinds of activities to supplement their running.

I've found that capoeira works some leg muscles more intensely than running, like hip flexors for instance. And biking seems to work the inner thighs more. And lifting, of course, you can target whatever muscles you want.

So what do you do to supplement your running, and how does it help?

  1. I cycle and lift.  Cycling will work your aerobic ability to keep your running base and target different leg mucsles along with providing a non-impact form of training to help stay injury free.  Lifting is also great to strengthen muscles to help aviod injury

  2. I would just do an all body lift and not bother with cycling or anything. If your running enough than the weight training alone will be a heavy load.

  3. Most professional runners also do cycling as it really helps . Plus its strenghtens you quads which reduce knee injuries and helps speed .
