  1. Is there a dinner following the rehearsal? The place the dinner is held should dictate what you wear to the rehearsal. For example, if it's at a fancy restaurant, then wear a nice dress. If it's a family member house, and it's BBQ style, then nice jeans and a nice top are perfectly fine. Is it at a casual restaurant? Then a cute, casual sun dress would be appropriate.

Just ask around, or better yet, contact the bride or groom and see what they suggest.

  2. Sure I think it's nice to dress up for a wedding rehearsal especially if there will be a rehearsal dinner after. There's going to be a lot of picture taking I'm sure so its nice to dress up.  =)

  3. I think you should do a dress up for a wedding rehearsal because it helps you to get used to the idea of wearing that wedding dress and lowers stress.

  4. It depends on the rehearsal location and your local traditions.  I would avoid wearing jeans if possible, but I wouldn't get too dressed up either.  What you are planning sounds great!

However, I attended one rehearsal a couple years ago that ended up requiring jeans because it was actually a working party.  The couple hadn't set up the reception venue, so they had all of us moving tables and no one was really dressed for it!

    Best wishes!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Your best bet is to ask the Bride

After that, ask other bride's maids, if you know them

My belief is that it is not a jean affair. I think you look nice. There may be a dinner after, etc.  It cannot hurt you to attend in a nice top and dressy slacks.

Do not dress for the rehearsal as you would dress to be a wedding guest -

  6. For my sisters one none of us dressd up and we had mental crax! The best ma didn turn up 4 agres-but d weddn stil klas!!

  7. you're supposed to dress up a little bit. i'd say either a skirt or nice pants or capri pants. i've never seen anyone wear jeans or shorts.

  8. Dress up as much as you would for an evening out with friends. In my experience it's not really a dress event, but it's not really a jeans-appropriate event either. But this will vary culturally and regionally and from couple to couple.

  9. i think yes

  10. If the bride doesn't dictatce what you should wear then I would base what you wear on the venue of the rehearsal dinner. If it's a fancy place than dress appropriately, if it's a backyard BBQ than a cute sundress. Dress in something you are comfortable in and will be presentable but also fits the mood - ie, no spiked heels if its outdoors because you could sink, etc!

    Good luck and have fun!

  11. only on tv!

  12. It depends on the venue and where the dinner is afterwards. You would typically dress up, I think. The dress pants and shirt would be great. Have fun.

  13. I think you should dress up for the rehearsal, but make sure that you pack a pair a jeans and comfortable shoes in the car for after dinner.  I have been to several where you do the rehearsal, the nice dinner, and then are expected to help with decorating the church/reception hall for the wedding the next day.
