Do you drink anything which is ice-cold?

I wouldn't thank anyone who offered me tepid beer, water, soft drinks even in winter, yet I have relations and friends from various parts of the world who seem to think that this is life threatening. My step-son even said to me that his daughter has a cough, because she had eaten an ice-cream in February.

  1. I don't like things real real cold, no, because I have sensitive teeth and it hurts my teeth. I only put like one or two ice cubes in my drinks. But I don't think it can cause a cold. Colds are caused by germs, not coldness.

  2. I like carbonated soft drinks close to frozen. Among alcoholic drinks, blended whisky is best on the rocks, while single malt is best at room temperature. White, rosé and sparkling wines should be chilled but not icy, while red should be served at room temperature. Coffee and tea should be served scalding, while hot chocolate should be served at precisely 58 degrees Celsius. I was told this at a coffee bar and felt incredulity but the barista proved it by making three drinks, one too cool, one too hot and one at 58 degrees. The difference was amazing!

  3. Generally, I drink coke, but if it's real, real hot I'll have an

    ice cold beer..................

In the house I drink just tepid water/or V8.................but have mostly everything cold, tepid, or warm anyone could ask for.

  4. old wives tales  live forever. i have heard some people say they got sick because the weather got warm than cold blah blah blah , but the really got sick because something is going around and they caught it .I think  eating or drinking cold or hot food  is something to watch out for if you have  certain medical conditions  but othe rthan that i think it is nonsense . sick from eating  ice cream in february , now thats golden  !

  5. Its not possible for the drinks. On the other hand with the ice cream, it might have had a little bacteria in it which made the girl cough

  6. I prefer an ice cold Pepsi, RC Cola, juices, Wyler's and even Kool Aid drinks. I also enjoy hot chocolate, various herbal teas and different flavored coffees. If anything is overdone, including liquids, it can add an adverse design to the most healthy physique. I wish you well. Peace!

  7. It is funny to think of the differences.  In Germany they blame many of their medical problems on a problem with their "circulatory system".  No other people believe that their blood is causing their sickness.  And people in Britain drink warm beer. I drink ice-cold lemonade.

  8. Not possible.

  9. i always try and have cold drinks, i would be annoyed if someone brought me room temperature glass of coke or water

  10. no, i never do. i was taught so by my parents. that this is not good, as i can get a sore throat, damaged teeth or a cold i could otherwise avoid. it doesn't taste pleasant to me so whenever i am offered a glass of cold water in summer i keep it in my hands or leave it one the table waiting for it to warm up a little. sometimes sellers in a shop want to be nice and offer me a cold bottle of Coca-Cola or whatever juice I'm buying. I take it, but wait till it gets warm, it's not difficult for that to happen when it's hot outside, after all...

  11. I enjoy cool drinks, but I dislike ice-cold drinks and tend to wait for any ice to disappear before I start drinking anything served to me.

In East Africa barmen have a habit of asking customers whether they want their beer warm (joto) or cold (baridi). Warm beer is served at room temperature. Obviously there must be some takers for the question even to be asked.
