  1. absloutlely not. im not a great driver now, so i need the extra help

  2. it would be great it would mean i could use a roundabout like i should and not have to wait at on a red light with no traffic

but on the down side there are so many poor drivers that they would probably cause chaos

get rid of signs and toughen up the test with retest every 10 years

  3. What, do you mean all the idiots that have come across the channel and are wreaking havoc on UK roads in their left hand drive?! Obviously traffic signs and signals are different in their home countrys!

To be honest though, when the lights are out at the junction at the top of my road - the traffic flows BETTER!!!

The lights take time to change and obviously stop the traffic for however long, whereas it's great when there is a power cut or similar, cos everyone just proceeds with caution, letting each other out in a very British way!!

As far as road signs, you drive on one of your normal routes ie, to town, or to work, and actually COUNT the number of road signs there are, and what they are for! There are more road signs now than ever, in a week's time, i bet there will be another road sign popped up somewhere! How on earth we are mean't to see all these signs, take them in, AND concentrate on driving!

  4. Sure.

    Look in the real world.

    As an educated idiot.

Having a traffic light telling us when to stop, look and go.

When living human kind do not even know how to make use of a round about that cause all the traffic jams.

    What do you think?

  5. In countries where there is v. little control people do much better than you would expect but in a highly controlled country like the US where people have been conditioned not to think for themselves you would have chaos.

  6. i would be dead

and the person inside the parked car i crashed into

  7. I can offer an unique perspective to your question!  I work as a traffic signal technician, and have to respond to an intersection with-out signals!  Usually do to a power outage, but also a planned signal change out.  With the latter, we have either police, or others trained in directing traffic while the intersection is being changed!  If it is a power outage, we hook up a generator ASAP!  Please keep in mind that if you approach a traffic signal that is completely out, it is a for-way stop!  If it is flashing red, it is a two way stop and you need to yield to the opposing traffic, THEY HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY, and IT IS FLASHING YELLOW FOR THEM!!! People seem to forget this rule after taking their driving test!

  8. I agree with dave j , the traffic does seem to flow more smoothly when signals fail . for instance a " dangerous " junction near my home has had signals fitted , now its worse ! to answer your question I would be fine , just the others that worry me.

  9. I'd be dead too

  10. well that depends i probably be dead not from me but other people would probably crash into me . i would do alwrite

  11. i would be dead

  12. Yes. I'd do well.

  13. I'd be alright, I learnt to drive in Ireland, where there's not many roadsigns and the traffic lights I encountered were often flashing a constant amber.
