  1. I just stay put until the lights go off. That is to much of a risk that I'm not willing to take and I hope no one else does either!

  4. No, I know better than to drive around the barriers!  I did <once> ignore the red lights at a crossing, but got off the tracks before the thankfully slow-moving train reached the crossing.  My mom, who was in the car with me at the time, grounded me for a month!

  9. No way no how...never did and never will..I allways slow down and really look both ways..I also want to add this. I've read that because of the cost of copper that people are stealling copper from the crossing guard gates, also the copper bonding straps. which disables the signals as well as the gates...that an approaching train will cross that intersection without warning signals or guard gates and some unsubspecting driver thats waitting for warning signals or guard gates to come down, and don't look both ways will not live to see tommorrow.

    Not only is the act itself illegal and bloody stupid, but the mentality of the people who do it must also be unpleasant, arrogant and unempathic.

    Enyone who deliberately flouts level crossing barriers and lights should be automatically charged with attempted murder. I don't care about the car driver but I do think that they should be punished for endangering the people on the trains. As many of these are known to involve fatalities that's why I say that we should assume murder.

Uh no I love my life and my truck far to much to do that.  They even showed that on worlds scariest police videos with a tractor trailer and that train still pushed it and crushed the whole side of that truck and think you have a 50000 pound semi against a train that weighs much more. You ever seen a train hit another train its just as bad those are massacres.  No way in h**l would I its not worth it.  Good luck

  17. No, I do not drive around barriers, although I work for a railway and know what can happen, I do not leave my brains in the gutter when I get behind the wheel of my car!!!!

  18. No, I don't drive around the barriers or go through the lights.  I don't even need to watch the video to say no.  I have always erred to the side of caution in this area, believing karma would stall my car on the tracks for attempting such a bonehead maneuver.

  24. If signallers or crossing keepers in the UK get your reg number it gets passed to the police(and a lot of crossings are being fitted with CCTV to combat this too).

    Anyone that is stupid enough to drive round the barriers, or go through the light, is just silly - and isn't safe enough to be on the road, for themselves and other drivers.

    What is waiting 5 minutes when you could lose your life trying to save time!
