Question:

Do you drive like they do in car commercials?

All the car commercials I see have the fine print that the bottom; "Professional Driver. Closed Course." Isn't that just a bit unrealistic? So, in a perfect world, this is how the car will perform. It's not a perfect world. I would rather see commercials with the fine print that reads; "Women Driver. Open Course." It would be like Nascar with out the driving in circles. Just accidents. Does anyone else agree?

  1. Nope.......

  2. It's all about image - image for better sales...If they showed how the car looked in real traffic, would we be inclined to buy it?...So, the mfr's and the ad agencies spend gazillions of dollars (added to the price of the vehicles) to paint the roads black or put fancy animation in there to make us believe that their vehicle is the answer to our prayers.

Oh, yeah, in the little disclaimer, beside the ones you mention,is another one you see sometimes - DO NOT ATTEMPT...All of these should be prominently displayed at NASCAR events.

  3. LMFAO....

  4. Thud is right,   it is about the image.

Are you going to buy a car that whips in and out,   stupidly races past trucks in the right side blind spot or squeezes between two trucks at the last second showing all that massive acceleration.    or would you prefer to buy the car that sits passively in a traffic jam with Mickey D's  wrappers on the floorboard and a melted crayon in the car seat?
