Do you dry yourself before you get out of the shower or after?

When I was little, my mom taught me to spread the bath mat on the floor and get out of the shower and stand on it to dry off.

I hate doing laundry.  So when I moved out,  I quickly learned to dry off in the shower, and eliminate the bath mat completely.  That way I don't get water all over the bathroom, and I don't have to wash an extra towel (the bath mat).

After.  If I dried myself while I was in the shower the towel would get wet.

well , its best to dry urself before coming out of shower coz u won't feel the chillnezz. if you come out wet .. you will feel cold & start to shiver

I towel off in the shower after having turned off the water.

Both.  I am a hair man, so I have to make sure to make sure I don't flood my bathroom floor, but I also have to give the surface a second go to make sure I am clean and dry.

I turn off the water and dry off while I am still in the shower stall. That way my bathroom floor stays dry and I don't run the risk of sliding across it, and breaking my neck.

After.  I step out of the shower onto a bath mat, wrap my hair up in a Turby Twist and then wrap my BATHROBE around me, put my glasses on and then proceed to moisturize (need less and it goes on SMOOTH and silky) and then I simply air dry while dressing.  After that, the robe and Turby Twist goes back up on a hook to air dry.  I NEVER shiver and I don't drip water anywhere.  When I wash the bath mats and throw rugs, I do it after a shower and use the dampness from it to towel the floor and toss the whole mess into the laundry basket, about every 3-5th shower.  My bathroom stays clean in between weekly hose downs this way and that makes me really happy!   What do YOU do?
