Do you eat breakfast everyday and is it really in your opinion the most important meal of the day?

Where do you get time to eat breakfast, I leave my house at 6:30am and am never hungry before that time in the morning so I usually skips breakfast as I would feel uncomfortable eating at my desk at work, I am told that skipping breakfast leads to lower performance levels as well as lower effeciency in work performance, is this true in your opinion and do you eat breakfast everyday of the week?

  1. I don't eat every single day for breakfast but... when I do, I notice how much more efficient I work. My teachers say so as well so here it is: eat breakfast-do well skip-feel hungry

    I would never dream of not having breakfast in the morning, its unheard of!!! The day begins well when you have some form of energy to start you off and if I cant do it at home, work is my next best option. Weekends I normally eat late as I only wake up late. I think it is true, when one hasnt eaten they lack that energy.

  3. It depends on the age of the diner. Younger kids need breakfast...old coots need beer.

  4. I eat a breakfast but it consist of a slice of toast with marmalade ,some fruit and a big mug of tea with milk but no sugar.It is a family gathering in away.We can't have lunch or dinner together five days a week . We make breakfast the most important meal not food wise but family wise.

  5. Before I got married, I use to skip breakfast.  I would have a huge lunch and even larger dinner.  That was OK when I was in my twenties.  Now I find I'm not as hungry at lunch time when I eat breakfast.  I don't have that drop in energy I use to have at 10 a.m.

  6. Like Arturo I also like my Quaker oats. It is quick to prepare, not heavy on the tummy and gives you the energy for the morning. For early morning people like you, I would suggest to eat some fruit salad that can be prepared the night before and left in the fridge. I read somewhere recently that an apple early in the morning perk you up even more than a cup of coffee.

  7. I don't eat it every day......and doubt whether it is the most important meal of the day.....I mostly eat once a day......before 19:00...that's the most important meal to me....

  9. I don't. Like you I'm not hungry when I wake up. If I force myself to eat, i feel ill or I do get ill.

    So I just wait it out and have a good lunch.

  10. I have a big breakfast everyday -3 eggs, 3 toasts, 3 slices of Ham, 2 large cups of Coffee. That fuel for the day.  no lunch and a good dinner.

    I used to skip breakfast but always felt drowsy after lunch so I changed. After a while you get used to eating early as the body adapts to your new timing.

    Your stomach growling in the morning takes away your concentration as you will be watching the clock for "Lunch Time"

  11. It is for me. I don't think I've had one day without breakfast. I'll make time for it...I don't care if I'm late for something, breakfast is important to me.

  12. I drink Vitamin pills in the morning so I will eat a yoghurt or an apple or something small, I am not a big breakfast eater, just not hungry, I get hungry here at 10 00.

  13. It isn't an opinion, its actually true. Our brains and bodies rely on fuel (resting and eating) in order to help us perform our best throughout the day. In addition those who eat breakfast are less likely to overeat during the day.

    I used to not eat breakfrast everyday, now I make it a habit, and I really see a difference. It'll usually be fruit and toast, or milk and cereal.

  14. I MAKE time for breakfast in my morning, it's a really important part of my day because I hate feeling hungruy and would not be able to begin my day like that. Yesterday I made my self blueberry pancakes and sometimes I have omelets or just cereal.

    If you don't have time, grab a protein bar on your way out the door, it really makes a difference. Try kashi go lean bars or luna bars. There my favorite

  15. I remember I had to force down breakfast because my stomach rejected it too early in the morning.

    I do know it is true that it's a very important meal. I go to school without breakfast and my stomach growls in hunger before It's even lunch time.

    I suggest having anything in your stomach before leaving for work. You might have just a cup of juice or a piece of bread or toast to be more specific. Anything is good. Coffee will make your stomach hurt if you don't eat anything.

  17. i never eat breakfast because i dont really have time and also it makes me sick if i eat too early so i normally eat a little later when i get hungry but i dont think it matters if you eat breakfast or not.. to me at least

I work M-F / 6:30 to 3pm and I eat my oatmeal at 9:00am and I been doing this for 10 yrs and boy I tell you it has help me lots because is instant oatmeal with the flavors you know; so you just pour hot water into your bowl w/ oatmeal and your done quick and easy!!   I think breakfast is the most important meal of the day, gives you the energy you need and this stuff cleans your cholesterol (just need to get used to it).

  19. It is true - just think, you haven't eaten since before you went to bed, maybe even a couple of hours before that, (7-10 hours?) so your body would need something to give it a boost. Grab a piece of toast as someone suggested or those breakfast bars.

    I have two weetbix before I go to work, and the couple of times I have skipped breakfast, by the time I arrive at work I am all shaky and my stomach grumbles!

  20. I also dont have time for breakfast , but it definately has not affected my work efficiency and the girlfriend has not complained about my "performance"...but i guess skipping breakfast is not good...

    I however usually have a tinkie and tea when i get to work...
