  1. OMG i love l**k its, i bought one for my horse and he didn't like it so i ate it, what i did was broke it into small pieces and then ate it cause it was to hard to eat otherwise. I think horses eat them because they have vitamins in them. You can eat them but i wouldn't eat to much or you may feel sick after wards:P

    happy riding :)

  2. I don't but my kids once had a fight over an apple flavored one and my son asked if I'd get him one for Christmas instead of chocolate !

  3. Nope. I've never eaten any but when I own my own horse, I'll prolly try it hehe

Though when I used to own a couple guinea pigs, I used to buy these little things that looked like chocolate chips, but they were made of yogurt (they were dry of course), and my guinea pigs didn't like them so I tasted one one day (cuz it said something along the lines of "made with real fruit and yogurt" on the box) and I loved them! They were delicious lol.

Sometimes when we went to the pet store I would buy a box and eat them instead of my guinea pigs.

Some foods that are made for pets taste even better than some foods made for humans don't you find? lol

  4. Interesting question!

I suppose it's the nurse in me - but I would worry about the cleanliness and the way it was prepared.  Hygiene and health regulations for horses are quite different from people, I would worry that the Lickit wouldn't have been prepared in a clean facility, or possibily used unclean water, or such when made.  Anything that is prepared for human consumption goes through such strict rules, but for animals all things change!

I will admit that when I was a young kid, I was curious what the taste of dry dog food would be like.  They seemed hard and crunchy and made me think of dried cold cereal, so one day I nibbled off a piece!  Yuck!  Don't do that!  And when I was even younger - perhaps a preschooler - I was known to knock off chunks of the cow's salt block and l**k it.  And that was after the cows had used it.  So I guess hygiene concerns were a bit different for me back then!

    Happy l*****g.

  5. this is a little off topic, but since we are talking about eating/tasting things...I tasted ivomec both horse paste and injectable.  I tasted the injectable, because it is recommended to give to goats orally and was supposed to taste horrible, but it didn't seem that bad too me.  The paste was sweet and grainy.

  6. i don't but i heard of people eating them

  7. I tried, but I wasn't very impressed.  Too sweet, and an odd texture.

I've had to remove likits from my three-year-old son's mouth more times than I care to remember - he seems to make a beeline for the carrot ones... which is odd, because can I persuade him to eat carrots?!  Nope, he likes carrot flavour pony sweeties, but not carrots.

  8. haha wow ove never heard of someone eating a likit....lol but i know this guy who drinks horse joint suppliment and he says all his joint pain is gone....lol...i should try one haha

  9. I have never heard of people eating those thats funny

  10. the apple and cherry ones are really nice - I tend to sample before giving them to the horse, won't be nice after giving to the horse!

  11. I have.

I was locked out of my house and so i went to my barn and i had a new one to replace and i wanted to try it. So i ate some of it.  There good, there so sweet lol.

I love the apple and the peppermint ones.  Im not to fond of the carrot ones lol.

But you can and there good.

  12. I got one of my horses a likits and he loves it!  I thought maybe that my other one would like one as well.  He never touched it, so one day me and one of my friend went in his stall and ate it (yummy cherry).  He just stood in the corner horrified (he was like "you monsters" aww, so cute.  He was a stud too).  Long story short, Likits tast great!

  13. yes I admit I did taste it (befor the horse did)I cut off a small piece. That was enough for me.Tasted ok but not enough to keep trying it lol
