Well i agree you get more.  Well i think you are suppose to use a fork, but there are no rules on how to eat a rice.  All i can tell you is that eat it the way you want to.

You can also u se your hands if only you are alone.

I live in Thailand and eat rice with most meals. Like the Thai people I use a spoon and a fork to help locate it on the spoon. If I am eating sticky rice, which is favoured in my village, I use my fingers like the Thai people.

Why not try chopsticks?  Then you don't get as much!

if it has a sauce on it I eat it with a spoon.  But a fork is good too.  I'm not to good at using chopsticks.

i prefer a spoon - it's much easier to prevent dropping the rice grains all over the place, plus if there's sauce on the rice it's easier to eat the sauce :-)

At home I eat it with a fork.  When at a chinese restaurant I eat with chop sticks.
