Do you enjoy reading Tolstoy?

Yes, but its been a long time since I read 'War and Peace'. The new translation that's just come out is supposed to be very good; I will get to it one day

A book I haven't read, 'Life and Fate' by Vasily Grossman is supposed to be the War and Peace for the 20th century. You might want to check it out.

I definitely do. I've read (I think, I'm not sure) all of his works. My favorite, of course, was War and Peace. I'm actually Russian, and I've read the novel in both English and Russian. It's beautifully written, both languages.

Yes, I read a few of his books. Recently I reread War and Peace again. A great account of that time.

i found tolstoy very hard reading  . i havnt read tolstoy though for twenty years.

Yes, I like some of his short stories much more than War and Peace. While reading the latter I wished they simplified the names although it was very instructive about their society. The war scenes were pretty realistic, at least to me.
