  1. I'm glad I hate bugs!

  2. Ah, but think of all the ones that feast on the clippings in my compost pile or out at the organics section at the landfill!

More insects will feed on the cuttings than live in the live stands of grass - just some of them will be different insects.  Also insects can use so many areas as habitat - they are not exactly endangered.  But if I was a Buddist, I would arrange my yard so I would not have grass that needed mowing!

  3. No, and I don't plan on starting now. Those little suckers bite, eat flowers and much more. Do they consider my feelings about this? No they do not!

    Get the mower running!

  4. I do... but I'd rather have nice, clean, trimmed looking grass, besides, what about the birds that kill the insects in the yard?  have you ever considered that?

  5. the day before i mow i put little signs out warning the bugs to clear out between such and such a time... they aren't happy about the inconvenience and grumble a bit.

  6. I pay the landscaper extra to mow around the insects!!!!

  7. I have never bothered with Hash or ganja. If I did, I probably wouldn't care about insects. They would add a little protein to the mix.

  8. No I don't.. As a matter of fact if I could catch them, I would feed them to my Bearded Dragon

  9. Bird food :)

  10. Someone has taken WAY too many sensitivity courses.  There are bazillions of incest, who the heck cares.  Sort the dead ones out of your hopper and fry them up -- yummy!

  11. I burn my grass.

  12. No, I've never thought that before. But thanks a lot, Cliff... now I'll never be able to mow the lawn again without feeling like a monster!

  13. Yet another reason I hate yard work.

My ex wife could never understand.....................

  14. I pay Mr Smith £3.50 every two weeks to cut my grass, so he can deal with all the insect guilt.

    (loved Wolfkiss answer btw)

And Steves95 - bit of a Freudian slip there?

  15. Honestly, I really would not worry about it.  As many insects as there are in this world, consider it as holding the masses at bay.  Seriously, if insects wanted to take us over, the could do so in a second because any one species outnumbers humans by the billionfold!

  16. No Cliff...I do a head count first and evacuate all the little buggers..so they can come back and continue biting my butt!!!! No wonder it takes me so long to mow...ever try to get those ants to walk another line??? LMAO!

  17. I always move all the insects before I mow

  18. No.  The only thing going through my mind is getting that darn grass cut.  If it takes killing a thousand and one insects so be it.

I have killed many other things besides insects.  i.e.  frogs, toads, snakes, baby rabbits, a bird, and a few ground squirrels.  (accidentally, of course)
