Do you ever drive/walk to and from work in bare feet?

Always. Haven't worn footwear for eleven years, I ride my bicycle to the train station, ride the train & I have another bicycle on the other end now, I used to walk that part but I finally bought a second bicycle to save time. It's very comfortable, and there are no rules against bare feet on our train system (nor anywhere else in the Netherlands, really).

i live in a very very small town it's very safe even tho i dont have a job yet i do walk over to the dariy in the summer to get ice cream :)

h**l NO!!!  Especially on these streets and sidewalks of New York, only at my apartment  I walk barefoot or perhaps at the beach.
