On the Suze Orman show this one lady wanted to spend $4,000 on fake white snow for christmas to comfort her 1 year old son. Her income is very high.....she made well into the 6 figures.....but because she wasted so much of her money and gotten into so much debt, Suze Orman denied her, and told her she could not afford it.

When I told this story to my friend, and laughed about it, my friend told me "you have no idea how important a white christmas to a child".....lol. I thought my friend new better. She wasn't joking; she actually thought fake white snow was important to a 1 year old. Like a 1 year old will even remember that.

Got any stories where a seemingly smart person says something crazy?

  1. Yes, me. Sometimes I think am so smart that someone has to put me "gently" back in place.

I answered  the following question: "What were Friedrich Nietzsche's views on women"? This way,

The two quotes people tend to use are the following: Nietzsche wrote "Women are essentially unmerciful" and "Man is for woman a means; the purpose is always a child. But what is woman for man?" The answer to this question (as well as the question you pose) is difficult to ascertain . . .

In other words my answer was literally "it is difficult to ascertain."

The woman who asked the question wrote back the following:

The two quotes obviously speak for Friedrich Nietzsche's negative view of women - who wants to be "unmerciful" and merely a baby machine - not any woman in her right mind in any century. Thanks for your input though. They were excellent - for a man. :)

Was I ever embarrassed, she was so right and I was so stupid.
