Do you ever feel like everyone around knows where they're going and has a great dream but you

i do. i'm going into high school and i feel like the only one who still hasn't figured out who i am or where i am going. idk, i feel so... lost, i guess. what should i do?

ive never had a problem with that. im in eighth grade and i already know what i want to do and how im getting there but thats only because not knowing kills me. so i took a bunch of classes over the summer and i found out that i am in love with the ocean. im gonna be a marine biologist when i get older. get a track/academic scholarship to miami university and  go from there. :D try some things, see what you like. go from there.

At your age, I was in that state all the time. Take things and days one at a time, and try to do something better every day. You will see what great results you may get even without thinking about it!

A feeling of lack of direction affects all of us from time to time in our lives. It isn't just cos you are in high school - it affects adults too.

Try to understand that their dreams are just that, dreams. They may or may not get there. Whatever, this is not your concern.

Focus on your own peace of mind; there is no pressure to make any decisions right now. Try to think of 2 or 3 possibilities for your future & when asked tell them you are considering your options which may be .......etc ...etc.

This takes pressure off you; helps you & friends to explore avenues and gives you the time you need to decide.

Do take plenty of time - these decisions can have a dramatic effect on the rest of your life. Best wishes. UK
