that our generation hasn't gone through anything majorly catastrophic? I don't mean I wish for a war on our turf or anything...and yes the Towers falling was HORRIBLE....Do you think because we haven't really sacrificed is the reason why we are so decadent and spoiled and b*tch about things that don't matter?

  1. Yes, I know exactly what you mean. We haven't had anything really effect us. Now things are starting to get bad with the housing/credit crisis, but it's mainly effecting older adults. We have been spoiled way too much and we don't appreciate it. i think things are starting to hit that we will all have to be hubled again. for example... During WWII, everyone had to help donate scrap metal to help build planes and guns, etc... and they had their food and gas rationed. But now, we are at war in 2 different countries,,, but what have we been asked to give up? Nothing. (unless we have family in military/which I do) we don't have to sacrifice anything. we may need a new great depression to get us to wake up. (And not just our generation- I'm in my mid 20s- but everyone in our country.)
