  1. All the time

I can't remember not feeling worthless and useless

  2. Feelings of abandonment or even actions of the same indicate you have abandoned someone and not yet corrected it. The world is a mirror.

  3. YES, and thats when I think about how many other people are in much worse situations than I am.  Think of of homeless people, drug addicted people, disabled people and helpless children and animals.

If you are ever feeling like life has abandoned you, then go out and help someone.  Volunteer at a children's hospital, homeless shelter,or even an animal shelter.

Start small or go big, but try it and see.  You will feel so much better in life and even find a purpose in life.

  4. To abandon somebody, the world would have to care about or otherwise take some kind of responsibility for an individual, and it's obvious to me that the world is incapable of doing that because it's made up of inanimate objects and individual beings who are each by definition out primarily to meet their own needs for survival. Individuals can abandon each other but not the world in general.

  5. Girl who hasn't felt that way at one time or other.  You just have to know that the would hasn't abandoned you at all no way!  Remember no matter how bad you think you got it someone else has is worse, and why ever you feel this way it wont last forever. email me if you ever need anything.

  6. Actually no...I don't think so. I feel it is ME who has abandoned myself.

The world is there to receive me, if I take the plunge and really make it my home.

  7. No..

But sometimes I feel like I abandon the world and go into my own.

  8. You make the presupposition that the world has some obligation to the individual perforce.

    WRONG

The world's abandonment of the individual is not some anomaly or irregularity; abandonment is the rule in general.

The mere existence of an individual does not oblige the world to cater to, nor propitiate the circumstances of, that individual.

In short, we are all abandoned by the world--and that is not so much the important issue.

The important thing, however, is not to abandon yourself; You are all you have.

  9. No, but I've abandoned the world and given up on it.

  10. From time to time I do feel that the world has abandoned me but usually I can think of a few reasons (and yes some of them are probably good reasons).

  11. I'll be sitting here at work, wondering WHY it's been 5 hours since the phone has rung, a fax has come in, or I've gotten an e-mail.  It makes me wonder whether the rest of the world has just dropped away, without giving me any advance notice.  It's like everyone just vanished without a trace, but didn't take me - especially if I'm the only one in the office at that time.  When that happens, I'll call the work phone from my cell (or vice versa), or e-mail my work from my personal address (or vice versa).  Or, if there's nothing else that needs to get done, I'll come onto Y/A.  It helps me feel connected to the world again.

  12. Always, and it has.

  13. No, I am not an American dumb *** who thinks depression is real and that life sucks. All these bullshit diseases americans made up so that they can sell fake medicne to people and gake their money.

  19. yes indee. sometimes i just felt like the only friends i have is my shadows!

  20. No. I long ago found peace and contentment within myself. I learned never to trouble borrow but only give to each day it's own indigenous sorrow. It is the lot of man to wonder the days and experience the sorrow each brings his way. But never to yield or give way. For sorrow is but the air we breathe and the meat of the day.

  21. In order for me to think that, I'd

have to think I'm owed by the

    world.  The world owes me

    zero.

My energy is put into living,

    not complaining about that

    which can't be changed.
