Do you ever find your phone "off the hook"?

Is this even a phrase you're familiar with? Anyone you know still use this phrase?

Its still there call your service provider and you would find the customer care agents using the phrase.

I know the phrase and I use a portable. I have been known not to turn it of, so that could be regarded as off the hook.

Yup, I use that term. I also find my phone of the hook sometimes, due to my darling little boy.

as a tech the term ROH = receiver off hook is still used, and a common trouble... just because the way the phone goes on/off hook changes does not change the terminology...
