Do you ever get sick of driving a manual transmission?

Question

I've driven an automatic transmission car since I started driving 3 years ago. I recently test drove a manual car and think it's a lot of fun. But my parents told me the "fun" wears off and soon I'll be really tired of shifting. I really didn't mind it, but does it get annoying after awhile?

I kind of live in the country, so there's a little city, and a little highway driving.

no....its rewarding i have to drive 3 hours to work in a 57bel air

I got my first manual car 6 months ago (a new Volkswagen Rabbit) and I will never buy an automatic again.  Manuals are fun if you actually understand how they work and if you aren't extremely lazy lol.

Drove standards for 40 years. A few years ago i bought my first automatic, a mistake. Next car is back to standard.

After manual for 25 years, my current ride is automatic. I will be back to manual soon! Driving a manual transmission car is really driving the car, you have so much more control if you know what you are doing.

It's the opposite for me...i get sick of Automatic, Manuals are so much fun and they give you more control and typically a manual car is 1 second faster 0-60 than a automatic car of the same model, also manuals get better MPG...I wish my car was a manual but 99% of the cars around here are automatics.
