Do you ever go into a trance when writing a poem?

When I write a poem and I'm really into it, I kinda go into this mode where I close my eyes and my body starts doing random motions in attempt to 'draw out' the right words or lines from my mind. I do that a lot, do you?

depends on the poem ..... if the poem is based on my personal experience or is related to my inner feelings ......... but not when i am given a topic and told to write a poem on it but i don't do that a lot ........... perhaps u r tooo sensitive ....thats gud for a poet

Yes. I know what you mean but how can you close your eyes and write at the same time?
