  1. OCCASIONALLY and usually an Indian dish of some sort.


  2. The one I go to has a tali plate- chapati, rice, pickled sliced onions, channa or dahl (I go for channa), and two curries of the day. My favorites are bharta and aloo ghobi, but I take it even if those two aren't on the menu. I also like my paneer.

  3. I love prawns and seafood, depends on whats on the menu. Will always have something with prawns in it.

  7. I'm so boring - it's always chicken tikka masala or chicken korma, with pilau rice, garlic naan and poppadums.

    The best time is going with one of my girl friends because she also likes chicken tikka masala and chicken korma so we can order one of each and share!

    We keep saying we're going to try something different next time but we never do....but we are going out next Friday for an indian so maybe the will be the night for a change!!

  8. samosas (sp?) with mango chutney and poori if they have it. nan is tasty too. then a good curry. if you have dessert, try gulabjamin (sp?). gelabi is too sweet, but try a small piece some time if it's really fresh.

  11. I have a chicken korma curry that is very nice meal it is mild which I like mild currys and I also like the yellow rice too with poppadoms

  14. I try to eat something different every time. It makes it more interesting. Although in Indian restaurants, most of the curries are all based on the same basic sauce that they produce in bulk and put in everything. Homemade Indian food is faaaaar better.

  16. i had tandoori (marinated in yoghurt, spices -barbecued) chicken, naan (flatbread), lamb curry, yummmm...

    if you like spice, indian food is great. You can ask the waiter to make it milder if your afraid it's gonna be too hot.

  17. Mmmm, Chicken Chat, at the Shabar, Sheldon, Birmingham, close to the airport........whenever we're in the U.K., we try and call in at this restaurant! Their Chicken Chat is excellent!! Sadly, here in Cyprus, I've yet to find a decent Indian restaurant, let alone one that does this dish!!

  18. Last time I had spicy rice, sorry couldn't pronounce the name if you paid me, but it was absolutely delicious!!

  19. in a restaurant i would get Tikka starter, then tikka masala and have to get Naan bread, best part of an indian meal!! not very adventerous but thats my fave curry

  20. when I go to an Indian restaurant, I have pilaue rice,a lamb maddrass and a stuffed parrata.wicked.

  22. Meduim curry.  Naan bread.  Poppadum. Lager. Indigestion. Wind. A good clearout in the morning.

  23. Chicken Pakora, Lamb Karahi, Fried rice, spiced onions nan bread--------- Yes i have ibs but i don't care as i love Indian food and wash it all down with some sweet tea.----- my husband on the other hand would wash it down with a few pints of ale.

  27. Yeah I like going to Indian Restaurants. I often order mango lassi, poppadom with mango and mint dip, chicken biryani, chicken curry, pilue rice and chapati. Not all together but those are the things I like.

  28. i have seriously bad wind the next day when i go for an indian.

  29. Chicke or prawn with creamy coconut sauce, dhal, mixed vegetable dish, rice, poppadoms, raita and mango chutney. Mmmmmmm!

    I have vegetable dhansak

    My husband has chicken madras

    One daughter has chicken dhansak

    Other daughter has chicken balti.

    Oh and get paratha - lighter than naan!

    I would highly recommend a dhansak - delicious!
