In other words, if you live in New York City, have you been to the Statue of Liberty, etc...that sort of stuff.

  1. I used to live near Chicago and have been to most of the touristy spots there.  My family usually went when we had visitors from out of state with us.  It was actually quite a bit of fun, because even though it's not necessarily new to me, it was new to our visitors.  It was neat to see Chicago from their perspective and be able to tell them about one of my favorite cities.  And since we lived near Chicago, we could easily visit the touristy spots in the off season or when they weren't as crowded!

  2. Yeah, every once in a while. Usually during break or something, or any other time I have free time.

  3. I went to the Statue of Liberty and all of the "touristy" places just one time. Now I skip over Manhattan altogether and go to the real boroughs, usually QUEENS!

  4. Yes and no.  We go sometimes, but if they are having one of their festivals, we don't go near the place!!  It is nice in the off season, if they really have one, but in the middle of summer vacations, not on your life!
