I stayed at my sister's home for the first time in a long time. I always get this "nervous" feeling as if I am not supposed to be there or if someone is going to walk in on me. Why would I feel that way when I should feel at home? The same thing happened when I stayed at my boyfriend's house alone for the first time. Anybody else?

  1. I know the feeling.  I visited a friend out of state for the first time. She and her mother waited for my arrival.  I wasn't there 30 minutes when they had to rush off somewhere.  I was left to eat and get some rest, given free reign of the house.  While I was eating, I felt like someone other than the cat was watching me.  I locked the bathroom door and triple checked the curtain and blinds before getting in the shower.  As tired as I was,   I couldn't relax for fearing I heard something.  When they returned home, I jumped out of bed as if I was stuck with a needle.

As often as I stay at my brother's house I still feel a little uncomfortable.  I guess it's normal when you're outside your territory.

  2. I do too sometimes. It's just natural.

  3. Its unfamiliar territory and your feeling is natural, however if you are up to something then you may be the cause. Just be confident that all is well warm and sweet. Maybe you could do something nice like bake a cake for them or something ?
