  1. Radio stations put songs on what they term 'high rotation' which means a popular song will be played a large number of times in any given day.  A popular song can get stuck in your head and it is just a coincidence (with a fairly high probability of happening since the song is being played very often).

This is not to say that there are not other explanations for this happening, such as maybe you are picking up radio waves in your head, or you are psychic, or it's just bloody luck, or any number of other things.

    Relax and enjoy the ride.

  2. I'll bet there's not one person it hasn't happened to.If they like music and listen to the radio. It probably convinces a lot of scatterbrains they're psychic.

  3. Yeah! Loads. It's really creepy! I also have weird dreams that predict what will happen in school or in a book i'm reading like a week before it happens!

  4. Yes, I have had this happen a few times.  Kinda weird, but neat at the same time!!

  5. If a song is popular and in vogue you are likely to have heard it a lot, so you repeated it in your head, and there is a good chance when you turn on the radio it will come up because it is so popular.

  6. This is known as syncronicity, and accounts for a large part of belief in the paranormal. This is not unusual, nor paranormal, just coincidence, and not really as much of a coincidence as you think. They play songs over and over on the radio, so its easy to get a song stuck in your head that they keep playing.

If you really want a mind trip play the album dark side of the moon while watching the wizard of oz. AKA the Dark side of the Rainbow Experience

  7. Ain't nothin paranormal bout that.

  8. yes, sometimes its just coincedence.

sometimes its our senses (we hear it somewhere close or distant)

But heres a really good one.

As a little kid, once i went through a bunch of trouble looking for pocket change to go rent the old spiderman movie

I came home and put it on, i watched about 20 mins of it. Then i got hungry and turned it off. This turned the tv back on.

And on the TV was the movie spiderman!

it was on the same spot i stoped it at, just about 5 secs off. lol

    is that funny or what?

  9. :) yes this has happened...and when I play my cd's in random order, I know which song will play next.

Have you ever been listening to the radio and all of a sudden perked up to a song, whose lyrics seem to give a message of just what you needed to know at the time? Been there too :)

  10. Believe it or not this is a form of Random Psychic Intuition. Random Psychic Intuition happens when you are in a light trance like state. It occurs when your conscious or critical mind is open to the images or sounds that are sent from your unconscious mind, this state can be triggered by external, or internal stimulants. Silly to most but understood by some. I guess it is a matter of how you take it, and given the # of times songs are played on the radio in a day I would also say that it is luck, but once again that depends on how you portray this experience.

I have a habit of thinking of a song, and then hearing it on the radio myself, but most call me crazy anyway.

Hope this gives you a little bit of understanding why this might be happening.

  11. Of course this will happen a certain percentage of the time.

    So?

If you can write down, in advance, what song will be on the radio at a particular time, then, that is worth exploring further.

But, try it yourself first, before going public with it.

    .

  12. Yes, that is a trip. I also do that with movies. I'll rent a movie then it will be on TV when I get home.

  13. Most likely the song playing in your head is in the top 40. Since whenever a song is popular they play over & over & over & over & over till you can't get out of your head. Then when you turn on the radio, their playing it ,or just played it, or are getting ready to play it.
