  1. Yep. My kids eat what I eat.

We eat a fantastic diet, but yes like the best of us, I LOVE my chips. We don't have them often, but it's fine for us.

To be perfectly honest, chips were one of my kids first foods. They eat their fruits & Vegies, and I don't believe that a chippy occasionally will harm them. There are SOOOO many worse things out there I could be feeding them.

Mumma~Cassie - I totally agree with you on Coke. None of my kids have it. They had a taste of fizzy cordial once, and bounced off the walls all night. Never again

  2. I say if she eats really well on a normal basis, you're fine.  There are people who give their kids more junk than that at every meal. I'm guilty myself... not at every meal of course, but I'm bribing my 4 year old with jelly beans for every successful potty trip.

  3. Nothing wrong with having a little bit of "naughty" food now and then!  As long as she's eating well for the majority of the time I don't think there's anything wrong with having fish n chips here and there.

fish is quite good for bubbas!  Maybe you could get grilled fish instead of battered if you are concerned, or if you do get battered, just peel it off and give her just the fish.

Gnawing on a chippie isn't that bad.  Just leave a couple of chips on some paper towelling so that most of the grease is absorbed off them before giving it to your little one.  I'd imagine it would feel quite nice on their gums chewing on a crunchy chippie!

  4. my children eat the same - good meat, vegies and fruit, no juice -just milk and water and they have one treat ie chips or lollies once a month.

  5. My kids eat junk from time to time. Our whole family eats very healthy, though 90% of the time so 10% of sugar free pop sicles/pudding etc won't hurt anything- at that age.

I do not like giving excessive amounts or-- hardly any sugar to children, and I barely eat it myself.

I think your daughter would be Okay with a couple bites/licks of a sugar free fudge pop or a couple chips- if you having themself.

A few french fries or something won't harm her.

My kids are never deprived of junk to the point of wanting to binge and they are never given junk in excessive amounts. That's key.

  6. Not a lot.

Occasionally, if we are at a friends house or Grandma's and there are cookies or something I allow my son to have some.

If we are at a resturanunt I pick the healthiest thing for him. There really is no reason he should associate food with happiness.I've bee nthat route when I was younger and don't want him to.There's no reason kids need cheeseburgers and fries other than cost and convience.

At our house it's strictly organic and healthy.

It won't kill them to have goodies every now and then though.

  7. My kids have an ice cream or some type of treat 3 times a week

  8. my kids have take away once a week too,a little treat does no hurt.
