  1. I pray to Allah

well you can pray for anything you want and Allah is the creator of the

    universe

Praying is one thing and worshiping is another and worshiping is for the one Almighty Creator Allah

Can you imagine a life without worshiping the Almighty?

  2. I always prayed when I was a believer, but I NEVER got a response.

When I was young, I prayed for the parents of a friend of mine to stop abusing him (violently). But it never stopped. It got so severe, and he fell into deep depression. Later he killed himself.

I did tell my own parents about them, but there wasn't any evidence of them abusing him. Guess who won? The evil abusive parents.

  3. Prayer is not so much to ASK but to CONNECT. Prayer enlarges your Spiritual heart; changes your focus to petition for others. When one prays just for self, it is very frustrating if situations do not change. It seems all energy is focused on GETTING. When one utilizes prayer as a means to lift up others, it increases compassion and you walk in a state of genuine Love and Sensitivity.

Prayer brings you to God then brings God to people.

  4. I do my best to complete my 5 daily prayers.

The purpose of prayer is to re-align yourself with Allah (God).

I pray to center myself and my day with Allah and what He wants from me.

    I pray to Allah.

I pray for myself and to keep myself on the path of Allah so that I will live according to His wishes.

  5. Hey, two good ones in a row!

Ghandi taught that it is our obligation to pray. In fact our whole lives should be lived with respect for whatever authority (" I am a Christian, and a Jew, and a Moslem, and a Hindu", he said), is ultimately responsible for the gift of our existence!

  6. Sincere Prayer is our direct link to God, We Pray to Him to ask for forgiveness of our sins and to ask Him to help us for many different things. As a Christian I Pray to Jesus Christ. I have seen many of my Prayers answered. Some have not. My Bible tells me to keep on Praying and believing when I Pray. I know that Jesus died on a cross for me and you to take away our sins, Only by Praying the sinners Prayer can we accept His free gift of grace and salvation and go to Heaven some day. Romans 3:23 says we are all sinners. Romans 6:23 says For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life thru Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 10:9-10 and verse 13 says to call up on the Lord and ye shall be saved, This short sinners Prayer will lead you to salvation if you are sincere, Dear Jesus, I ask you right now to forgive me of all my sins and come into my heart and save me just like your word in the Bible says, I believe you arose from the grave to wash away my sins and I give my life to you, in Jesus's name, Amen, If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, God Bless You!

  7. Yes. Many times a day.

I pray because it is a comfort to me.

I pray to the God of the Bible.

For the direction that will please Him.

  8. I pray to God.

Prayer is like a hope/belief that there is a God out there looking after us and leading us through our lives. You can pray for whatever you want, but I think it is important to not just ask for things but also to thank God for waking you up in the morning and for alot of things he does for us. Sometimes i pray just to talk, to ask for forgivness, to ask for help, to ask for help for someone else, to thank God, and things like that.

I think you should go talk to a preacher or someone else at a church. I know I'm not the best person to ask but someone at a church could be alot of help.

    I hope this helps you.

  9. I do not want to be a stranger when I meet Deity.  I pray to Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ. I thank him, tell of my problems, beg him to forgive me and help me with the current crop of sins I have, etc.

  10. Surprisingly, yes, I do pray, even though I am an atheist. Who do I pray to? No one in particular, because I don't believe anyone is out there listening. Still, I do it every night before I sleep, and there is a very good reason for it.

I have rheumatoid arthritis and other connective tissue/joint disorders. This causes me pain --a great deal of it, in fact. I refuse to take pain relievers because I will have this until I die, and I can expect this to worsen with age. There's time enough to become addicted to narcotics, so for now I prefer to tough it out and get through each day as best I can. I assure you, every day is a good one. There are people who are far worse off than me.

I pray for strength. That's it, nothing more. The strength to get through just one more day. Not surprisingly it works. Every single time.

Are my prayers being answered? Yes and no. I don't believe there is a higher power who selected me out of all the billions to watch over. I don't believe I've been granted any special favors. I'm in no one's good grace.

Before retiring I simply relax and send off a silent thank you (why I do this, I don't know). Then I clear my mind and simply ask for strength.

I sleep beautifully, my pain is manageable, and some days I am completely pain-free, although my arthritis is such that I should hurt constantly.

Some have said I meditate, and that may be so, although I prefer to call it prayer. (I define prayer as asking for something and meditation as listening to the answer.) Whatever you wish to call it, it helps me to focus, it calms me, and it strengthens me.

  11. i use to EVERYDAY when i was a kid

even when things where good i would still say my prayers every single day

but now i find myself only praying in dark corners when things are bad ( =

  12. I pray, but I do not use King James Bible English but I do use common English, so my prayers may not be as effective as of those prayers of people who use the standard "prayer formula". I figure that I do not use the words "thou" and "thee" in everyday conversation, so I probably should not use them in prayer.

The purpose of prayer is to form a close relationship to God.  Often my prayers may contain a portion of meditation.  They say that prayer is when we talk to God, and meditation is where we open ourselves up to listen to God.

I do not pray for wealth or material things for myself, I pray for peace, civility, reduction in conflict, and for other peoples health.

  13. God's help.

Give Him a chance (pray for a need).

    Accept Jesus (another reason):

    John 3:15-21

    Acts 2:21

    Eph 2:8-9

    Job 19

    Romans 3,6,10

  14. I pray, because it gets me closer to God, and well, because it helps me cope with everyday life...

    I pray to God...

And I pray for the things that I need, things such as: Peace, will power, forgiveness... and so on. I also pray for my material needs, too.

  15. I pray to talk to God.

    I pray to God.

I pray for all sorts of stuff.
