Do you ever think there will be a draft for women?

American is not ready for their Sisters, Daughters, Mothers to be in harms way by placing them on the front lines in Combat MOS why do you think they'd draft women.

Never because we won't have a draft again.  And because it would be morally wrong and women would be in an uproar.  Women are by nature weaker and should be protected.  I said weaker, not inferior.  I've seen Women Marines whose packs are heavier they they weigh and then some male having to carry her load as well as his.  Women are our mothers and without them, bearing and raising children we'd be killing ourselves economically in the future, just look at where we are at now missing the children killed through abortion?

I doubt there will ever be a draft for women.  If there ever was, the ones that didnt want to be there would just get knocked up to get out.  It happens all the time in the Army, a deployment comes around and all the dirtbag females of the unit magically get knocked up.  I think its awesome when they get knocked up do to an affair an the Army gives them the boot.  Thats all the army needs, dirt bag women to breed with dirtbag dudes.  I am not saying all draftees are dirt bags.  But a draft really is the military's way of scraping to bottom of the barrel,  considering the ones that were in college (during the vietnam draft) where exempt. I think that if a women cant abstain or doesnt have the common sense to use birth control while deployed, the should have the option for a general discharge only.  And depending on how many tours and how long she has been in, should be the deciding factor on how much (if any) GI bill she gets.  Just my off topic opinion, sorry.

there is a draft for women,during the woman's rights movements,the courts ,as a last ditch effort to discourage women,said if you are equel you can be drafted,so of course the women said yes.But chances of you ,if drafted, seeing combat is very VERY  rare.Also we will not have a draft ever EVER again.

We have far too many people in this country who still think slavery is a good idea, as long as it's the state that does the enslaving.

And that is what a draft is, involuntary servitude in the most dangerous of jobs performed for some of the worst people on this planet (those being our politicians)

In the U.S.?  I doubt they'll ever be another draft for men, unless you believe that the U.S. government is purposely trying to make the economy bad for poor people so they'll join the military.

Currently, countries that draft women into military service are China, Cuba, Egypt, Eritrea, Israel, Libya, Malaysia, North Korea, and Peru.  With the exception of Egypt, does anyone else see a connection here?

I'm hoping there will never, ever be a draft again in the United States. I consider it my right to NOT be forced to kill people/ be injured/ die. Yes, there are causes worth fighting for, but there should be the freedom to fight for them or not.

However, IF there has to be a draft, women should be included. I don't think it will ever happen, though -- women are still perceived as too weak to join the army.

Not in our lifetime. Drafts are used primarily to fill combat billets, and women are barred from such roles.

  First, you won't see a draft except in a national emergency.But I think we need a mandatory  national two years program for all young men and women after high-school.First it would consist of basic military training,in-case you were needed in a national emergency. after that, if you were a CO, you could train in a non-combat field.
