Do you ever thumbs-up people with a lot of thumbs-downs just because you feel sorry for them?

Or, if you find that only one person out of all the answerers has a thumbs-down, do you thumbs-up them because you feel bad for them? Yes, I know. I'm WAY too kind. I get that ALL the time.

I only really thumbs-up answers that I agree with or that I think have a good point. I have thumbed-up people I didn't agree with simply for showing me a new point about the subject. But yes, a few times I have thumbed-up someone, if their answer was not offensive in any way but they got a bunch of thumbs-down. For instance, the other day there was a question asking whether or not people liked skinny jeans, and someone who said no got thumbed-down a bunch. Well, it was an opinion, how do people thumbs-down an inconsequential opinion? It's not wrong. So I thumbed-up her in protest of all the thumbs-downs.

i only thumbs up if i agree with them. most ppl i see with thumbs down said something rude.

I'll always give them a thumbs up, as long as the answer isn't stupid, mean, or rude

sometimes if they gave a good honest answer i might do that.  but if they give lame answer i do the thumbs down or just ignore it.
