  1. Las Vegas

  2. yes, I have felt like that going to Norway, it is so fantastic and pretty but if you want a bottle of water it will cost you 25 krones or about 5 dollars, a hot dog is 51 kroness which is about 10 dollars, and a post card and stamp is 15-25 krones which is about 3-5 dollars, ridiculous, not to mention a rental car is easily 380 dollars a day and hotels are almost always more than 300 dollars

  3. Yes, I do, but not to be ripped off, as the person wanting to go to Norway, points out.

Have you heard of FLY NOW, PAY LATER?

I feel that sometimes it is good to pay up and see or do something the right way. If it costs too much, so be it. Work it out in your budget.

Don't get me wrong, economical travel is still possible and fun, but sometimes you need a special trip.  Some of mine have been:

Las Vegas, I did and stayed in great hotels and went to great shows and restaurants. I've also gone on fantastic cruises to some exotic places on this planet, but only on special small ships with lots of shore activity and advanced naturalists.

When I get the nerve, I want to book (1) a round the world flight on a private jet from Harvard, Smithsonian, or National Geographic (2) a round the world cruise on a smaller luxury cruise ship that stops long enough in port to see those areas.

Right now I have a question in here as I did not book anything to do today, my birthday.
