  1. I use all of them...frozen puff, frozen pie, and frozen phyllo...they all taste great, and save tons of time in the kitchen (which I have little of with 4 kids).


  2. Yeah it's good. Even top chefs recommend we use them. Easier by far.  

  3. Yes I do... as when you are on your own, it is just the answer to your baking problems.

  4. pie crust, always, it saves time and a big mess. unless you are really good at making pie crust, it is just as good

  6. Yes all the time.  Especially FIlo dough and Puff Pastry.  Certainly don't want to make them from scratch.  The frozen ones work just as well and are very time saving!

  8. Yes, I do.  I have become lazy at making pastry and the frozen stuff is fine.  Especially filo and puff pastry which are a pain to make yourself.

Yes and often without guilt too if I am serving one of my all day cooking specialty dinners.  By desert time, guests will be less critical of later courses.  I will not however, use instant biscuits and other Southern Country shortcuts or Ragu.  As a compromise, I will go to a bakery for guests and get something fresher, but really see nothing wrong with the better brands of frozen pastries since I am not a pastry chef.

  13. Yes. And the fact of the matter is, most restaurants you go to use it also. Making it from scratch is time consuming and can offer uneven results. Can't recall seeing it made from scratch since culinary school.

  15. Hi, Yes i do all the time now, i used to make my own pastry but the frozen shortcrust/puff pastry is lovely.

  21. Yes, especially filo and puff pastry! Life is too short to make them from scratch! I usually buy the fresh ready made and freeze what is left over.
