Do you ever wish people were always honest?

It would make communication easier, because you'd never have to wonder whether to believe something someone said, and it would make people have to be a lot less thin-skinned, because if everyone was honest with you, you'd be liable to hear more than the usual amount of criticism. Since it would be true, however, I could deal with it. How about you?

It would be nice, but on the other hand if being "brutally honest" the so called "thin-skinned" people out there wouldn't be able to handle it. They tend to be more sensitive than us thick skinned people are. At least you'd know where you stood with people. I do feel that sometimes "white lies" are useful depending on the situation. Sometimes, the timing isn't right to lay the truth on someone. You have to play your cards right or it could back fire on you. People tend to hurt those they love the most.

Sometimes, because I believe that honesty is one of the greatest rules! But, sometimes, I have to lie (so I like it sometimes) about someone's clothing.

So, it depends on the situation.

Hmm....if everyone was honest, there would be fights on the streets all the time. Most people don't want to hear the "truth". If the truth means being a complete jerk-head, then I have to say that a closed mouth gathers no foot. Sometimes it's easier to say what people want to hear.

Depends on the definition of honest. would a person that truly believes something that isn't true be able to claim his false belief is true.

If delusional beliefs are allowed then there will be a lot of abuse of children of fundamentalists that happen to be g*y or cant honestly believe their families religion.

No, but I am. I NEVER LIES. So, I do not understand who LIES. I guess they are defensive people all over the place. So sad for THEM.
