  1. Doesn't everybody? Then again. The phrase 'crying over spilled milk' comes to mind. One can only learn from the past. That's life and how one lives it. I'd think that the best path to take is to age gracefully.

  2. Yes - of course. It's called learning to live in the now :)

  3. If my future was a bright as my past, I would jump the shark now. I cannot let go of the past because it has crippled me. But I can't live in it, or redo it, so I accept it. The future looks like a sad journey, but then childhood an youth are supposed to be the best times, so maybe I will get a reverse deal.

I don't wince at old age nor brood on the past excessively. Only at what I can't do now because of then. If you have one foot in yesterday and one in tomorrow you are peeing all over today.

  4. You do that by living as much as you can TODAY, and not worry about anything else. Easier said than done, but the past is gone, the future hasn't happened; there's only NOW.

  5. Of course Ella.

I only wish to grow old with nothing but the happiest of moments floating around through my thoughts that bring the widest smile to my face.  And of course I wish to grow old with my heart, which I hope to find one day.

Although at times it's very difficult not to think of things that might hurt us in the future or how me might end up, it's very important to remember that with a loving heart and a star to guide you you will never fall away from your dreams of becoming everything that you wish to be while growing old.

You must tell yourself that not a single depressing thought will ever hinder your ability to grow old while living your dreams and never let your thoughts tell you that you will never live a fairy tale of a life.  Of course you will. :)

  6. When I was young, I was very worried about my future. Especially turning 40... So I started weightlifting at age 36.

Now I am 56, have been weightlifting for over 23 years. I went from a medium shirt, to a XXL shirt. I went from 190 lbs, to 281 pounds. I am big, muscular, and strong. Stronger and healthier than most people on this planet! I no longer worry about the future. Now I look forward to it.

  7. ...being an ardent proponent of ignorance is bliss...why should it matter...

...clarification...the past is over, the moment is now, and yet there are those that  question the past, present and future...

losing sleep, happiness and a relationship ...brooding...

    ...thanks for asking...

  8. Sure. Living in the moment has its benefits. However, I don't think I would discard either all together. Memories and anticipation add richness to live.

  9. Nothing is wasted until it's regretted. Life is about living, but the intelligent mind attempts to take account for everything without being caught by anything.

  10. Hey, I like your avatar!

Well, I am considered to be 'old' even though I don't feel like it!.  (As long as I stay away from my reflection, lol!)

I have to say though, from my perspective and past, that this would be most improbable.
