  1. Yes.  Every baseball fan knows that the umps are as blind as bats.

Seriously, at first instant replay won't have much of an effect, since

they are only going to use it for home runs disputes.  These don't

    occur all that much.

Eventually it may include close plays at first, tagouts on the

bases, and the safes or outs at home.  This is where it's really

needed, but it would really drag out the game.  Perhaps, giving each manager 1 replay option per game would work.

What really irks me about baseball is the strike zone.  Each ump

has his own.  Big name pitchers get the breaks, others don't.

I'd like to see them develop some kind of an electronic (?) balls/strikes

device.  Perhaps, electric eye beams built into each side of home plate to record whether the pitch was over the plate.  Determining

high or low would be a little trickier, but it could be done.

  2. nahh not really but its gonna start thursday and its only home runs calls (thank goodness) so i don't mind that much, I liked Lou Pinella and Eric Wedges' reactions.. they were all like "what do we do to signal a replay? throw stuff out on the field?!" ^^

  3. s***w umps cause they miss so many calls

  4. I like how they are going to use it now for if it's a home-run or foul ball and fan interference, but I don't want them to use it for anything more.

  5. NO. It's baseball for heaven's sake. A game. Not some serious legal issue.

  6. it kind of defeats the original game of baseball. next they're going to throw flags on the field to challenge calls like balls and strikes..

  7. i'm a fan of getting the call right.

  8. Yes!
