I mean really, do you need a Tahoe to haul the kids to soccer practice??? What's wrong with a Honda Accord? I think its a shame everyone is so concerned with impressing their friends ( who if the truth is known, probably doesnt like them anyway) that they go in debt and ruin the environment and economy too

  1. They're  punishment begins when they pull up to the gas pump. EACH AND EVERY TIME !!!

  2. I agree, but i also drive a 2002 F-250 with a 7.3L power-stroke, avg. 12mpg.

But i NEED it, i rather drive a civic and be getting 38mpg, but unfortunately a civic cant pull 12,000 pounds.

By the way, most people think they need large Vachel's because THEY can afford them, I'm talking about a 30yr old woman driving the hummer because she has the money to. Your right, you don't NEED that. But again, this IS America, and if you have the money to drive a H2, your allowed.

  3. I paid cash for my Mercedes ML 320.  I pay cash for my gas.  I have cash left over.  So I'm not ruining my life or the economy.

As to the environment, grow up.  Were you around in the 1960s and 1970s?  Do a little research.  The environment is much better off today than it was then.  And don't give me that c**p about greenhouse gasses.  If you don't like those, quit breathing.

  4. It's not so much that they want to impress anyone as much as it is that they are finacially able to afford it, and could care less about whats going on around them because in their little world everything is going just peachy... It's the "Why do anything"  I'm happy attitude...

unfortunatly thats the attitude of most of America today... we're filthy rich comparatively speaking to the rest of the planet, and our ignorance and arrogance is why the entire planet hates us, our only allies are countries that owe it to us like the UK, as for the rest, noone really wants anything to do with us, between our attitudes and GW.Bush.

  5. I'm single and I drive a newer Dodge Durango as my daily driver. It gets 24mpg on the highway and horrible mileage in the city. Mainly I purchased it for safety, comfort, and utility. I could care less what my friends think about it....either way. I also have a 5.7L V8 in a Pontiac Formula as a weekend toy and a 1972 GTO with a ridiculous 7.5L 455 cubic inch V8.

If it makes you feel any better I've replaced the bulbs in my home with the earth friendly type and I planted a few trees in the backyard :)

  6. I drive a 05 Silverado which gets 18 mpg and better than most of my Friends 1/2 ton trucks.  But i don't know how I could haul a bed full of lose mulch in a Honda accord let alone a cord of fire wood in the trunk.  The problem I have with other people is they judge too much on their thoughts as they will ignore the fact that their yard man use a 2 stroke lawn mower.  Please go dig on your own back yard before crying here.

    Regards.
