Do you feel that our next president (whomever he may be) will bring about the necessary changes to bring Americans more together, to improve our economy, to restore hope and eventually and effectively get our nation off foreign oil?

  1. No, I really don't. I like McCain, but I don't like half my own party (Social Conservatives.) Every Democrat lies straight to your face every time they open their mouth. I'm really not in a comfortable place. I'll choose honest ignorance over deception, though.

  2. Only if it's McCain

  3. I think that this election, regardless of who wins, will mark a big change in American politics.  Senator Obama is the first viable minority presidential candidate.  (I'm not counting Keyes or Jessie Jackson).  Senator Clinton was the first viable female presidential candidate.  Gov. Palin is the first Republican female vice-presidential candidate.

Either way, we will either have our first minority president or our first female vice president.  I think this is a very exciting time!  Truly, history in the making.  Someday, our great-grandchildren will be studying this in school.

  4. I think either McCain or Obama will be much better than our current president.

  5. I'm glas that it has opened the door to politics for moe minorities and women who can now really beieve that people can change the face of Washingotn.

If not this year or in 4 years but that over hthe next few elections replace the old Washington guard both GOp and Democrats with people who place the voters fist and party politics second.

I'm not happy Baa Rak (Bill Clintons pronounceation) has turned to the old Washington politics of Biden, Pelosi, and Reid.

The next President can get the economy booming by focusing on making the US energy independant. That means drilling for oil, building the infrastructure required to link solar and wind power, building nuclear plants and expanidn clean coal. Having automakers produce Flex fuel vehicles instead of oil based cars.

Gorget the last 8 years, Bush is old news. I will vote for the person who's energy plan makes the most sense to me and is realistic.

    So far I'm leaning McCain

  6. Hope springs eternal!  Cheers to all.

  7. i fell the next few years (5-10) are going to be tough, but then i believe that the US will find its longest period ever of economic prosperity.  This is as long as we dont become to militaristic or socialist

  8. I do now! Thank God For Palin!!!

    CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN!

  9. No, not all all. I think whoever gets in the White House will s***w things up even more! It's all written down in The Book of Revelations!

  10. Palin is Not just a “political” choice, She is a gimmick, a Karl Rove trick, staged quickly on the day after the Democratic Convention to steal thunder from that event, and done without proper vetting. Proof that that’s precisely how McCain is going to run our country: Just as Bush/Cheney did, as a toy, a means to get and keep power, without regard to the wellbeing of its citizens.

  11. Not if McCain wins.  He and his party do not recognize that there is anything wrong with our economy, our status in the world, our need to get off of foreign oil.

  12. If it's Obama, I won't have hope!

  13. 43% of delusional McCain supporters is an unmistakable sign of state decline. Just like before the fall of roman empire..

  14. Both candidates have some colorful band-aids, but neither are offering real cures.  McCain only deviates from Bush on a few issues such as energy and foreign policy.  Other than that, he is McSame and I believe that there is a good chance that McCain will be fiscally irresponsible while expanding the federal government like his predecessor.

Obama if a very left candidate and advocates VERY BIG government solution to our current problems.  They man believes that we need to spend $700 billion on a Civilian National Army, he wants to increase military spending, throw more money at our failing educational system (which currently spends the most per child than any other country, but does not reap the results), and he believes in compulsory volunteerism.

It will be another 4-8 years of another mediocre president.
