Do you feel like there was time before you?

It's a hard question to explain: Do you feel, independently from your knowledge of history, independently of knowing your parents existed before you, and independently of everything else that you've learned about the "pre-you" world -- I'm talking about feelings only, not knowledge -- that there was time before you?

  1. Yes, there was a time before me and I was a part of that time, even though I didn't exist.  An infinite series of events led up to my birth and in the immediate time preceeding it, I was thought about, considered, imagined, etc. even though I didn't exist in the "real" world.  Do I feel that?  I don't know.  I don't know if people can tap into a feeling related to that period of time.  But I believe it.

  2. There was no time before you, and there will be no time after you.

There will be and was time for other people who were alive in the time before after you.

that is if you believe in or even understand time.

Time is a human invention.Space was always there and will always be there. The Earth has not always revolved around the Sun and in a few billion years will cease to do so. Then a few million years after that the Sun itself will no longer exist.

So when there is no earth revolving on its own axis,to give us the hours minutes and seconds in a day, and it is no longer orbiting the Sun to give us our years, time will cease to exist. But space will still be there like it always has been and always will be.TIMELESS.

And people still believe they are so important that they warrant a God that created them.

    Lifes a ***** aint it.

  3. I feel today's sunrise, hope to see tomorrow's but I don't know any sunrises before my time nor do I expect to feel the warmth of the sun when I'm not (dead) here to feel or see it.   Time is now, that is what I know

  4. If we really have life on our history, This life is our last life.

because we will forget our lifes after our death on our other body.

If we still have a next life we will forget this today life, and this today life is nothing on our next body brain

  5. well personally i dont feel that way but then i tend to have a very "what i see is what i belive" way of thinking.

  6. Time is infinite so yes there was time before me of which I occupied and there will be time after me of which I will occupy.

  7. I sometimes wonder about things like that.  I also wonder sometimes if maybe I've ALWAYS existed in one form or another, and always will.  Not just me, but everybody and everything.. what if time doesn't exist at all and there really isn't any "beginning" or "end".  Maybe everything just "is" forever.. in one form or another anyway.

  8. Before...and after too...

  9. Of course. I'm not that egotistical.

And there will be time after I'm gone. Now *that's* kind of hard to get your head around, but so it is. Someday I will die and 10 years later few people if any will remember I even lived.

  10. Derek, that's almost like asking what caused the Big Bang. I know what you mean, and yes, I feel that time has always been, as have I, and you, and everyone else. BUT not in our present form using a human body, and limited to its brain capacity. I could go on, but that story is never-ending.
