  3. There is no rule that says parents have to treat all their kids exactly the same.  Most parents treat each of their kids differently, because every kid is different.  Some kids can handle rights and responsibilities at age 12 that others might not be able to take on till a couple of years later, if at all. And conditions or environments can change between the time the first child reaches a certain age and the time the last one gets there. Places that seemed safe 5 years ago might not be now.

I'm sure your parents are considering all these things when they make their decisions about what you can or cannot do. You can be sure they are NOT saying to themselves "hey, let's be unfair, just because we can!"  They are making decisions that they think are in your best interest. It's their job.  If you disagree, show them you are mature by talking about it calmly and rationally and accepting their final decision.

Yes, a lot of  things are unfair. At home, at school, on the job, in life.  Sometimes you can change them, sometimes you can't, and you just have to accept that and carry on.

  4. When you are a kid, you are a kid. You roll with whatever you are told and appreciate it because its free and you really have no choice.

  5. Yah or how about your brother is the black sheep of the family always in trouble even with the law, but he gets to go out when he wants do what he wants and you can't. Or you ask for something for your birthday and you don't get it but your brother does.

Yah I know what you mean.

  6. It's definitely unfair, I agree. But a lot of the time, parents use their first kids as practice, and will let them do something at a certain age, then later decide that wasn't a good idea, and then will learn from that mistake by not letting the next kid do it at that age. It's the way it goes sometimes. :/
