Do you feel more alert when you skipped a night's sleep?

I realized that when I skipped a night's sleep, I tend to feel more alert but still tired in the next morning - my hearing is more sharp towards the surroundings.

Anyone have the same experience or knows the reason behind this?

  1. This is something that happens usually. But it isn't very healthy to skip a night's sleep every other day. Your body needs to rest, no matter how sharp of hearing you get when you stay awake.

    It is something you shouldn't do regularly, but you can do it once in a while, when your feeling you need the sharp hearing.

    Sleeping is very important though.

    Being alert doesn't matter if you feel you are safe.

    So go on to bed!

  2. I do! When I go to sleep overs I feel a lot more alert. I think it is because your so tired your senses are more alert.
