  1. You go s**y shemale_tempe!  My sentiments exactly.  I'll take the job if it's too rough on her!

And the thousands of years of her ancestors are littered with the blood, sweat, and tears of all those that were persecuted by the crown all around this world, not just in England.  Probably more blood on the hands of that Monarcy than any other in history.

  2. Defo. She should run this country not the government. Oliver Cromwell really messed things up round here.

  3. What?

    Are you kidding?

The Royal Family are nothing but a bunch of narcissistic freeloaders!

and, yeah, she can send me to the Tower if she likes! At least that way I'll get a rest!

  4. I feel offended at the queen and all her kin and how those fricking germans have been usurping the throne of my ancestors for 3 centuries.

and yes, I'm a Stuart desendant, though not from any lines that would normally have any claims to the throne, as I'm issued from a younger son of James III.

BTW, it's nice you say "british", because the hanovers have a pretty thin link to the Stuarts, and the Scots had a pretty thin link to the english throne themselves...

Down with the sassenach says I.

  5. I'm so proud,sniffs.

  6. I am American  I admire the woman for her sence of duty and her attention to her appearance

  7. Yes I do, and tireless is a good way to describe her isn't it?

Not many people of her age work as hard as she does!

Its a pity a few more didn't follow her example including the politicians who are breaking the back of our country and destroying our heritage.

  8. A two part question requiring two separate answers.

Yes I am proud of the Queen but I am not so sure regarding ALL of her ancestors.

Come to think of it we all know so little of ALL of our own ancestors so we can't be sure  that we can be proud of ALL of them either.

  9. I am not British. I was a very kin fan of Princes Diana. She brought a fresh breeze of air into the old aristrocracy. Nevertheless, I think it's time both her and her hubby go retire.

  10. Yes I do. Love the Queen and all that pomp and circumstance.

  11. I think she is a good example to us.

  12. No - I feel absolutely ashamed when I hear of the british empire. I know you are not gonna like that but you did ask my opinion

  13. i love the Queen and i love British history and her ancestors i am proud to be British.

  14. what about mine?

  15. Sense of duty?

I wish some one would explain her job

    is it 9 to 5

what does she do,  make hats, work at a computer

    I dont get it...

She makes billions of dollars to travel and have everyone bow to her?

for what? so she can parade around in a robe and a crown

and say ohhh what duty I have

    god give me a break!

    Yaaaa for USA..

    Thanks for the support Lydia

I grew up in a colony

and saw such poverty, and nothing was done ever by the monarchy to ease suffering.

The first royal to help was Diana

    and they murdered her

    go figure!

  16. A wonderful example for us all.  Scrounge off the state - it works.

  17. Yes very proud of her she is just about the biggest asset this country has we should all be proud of her

  18. Yes she works really hard and always has done, it's not a life I envy at all.

  19. Yes I do!  She came to the throne when I was a little girl and has stood by her vows to her God, the church and her husband!

She has made huge sacrifices in her personal life to be able to fulfil her role to her country and its people!

People continually complain about the cost of the monarchy, but she brings in huge revenues from abroad through tourism!

Visitors do NOT come to see our politicians - no matter how much they (or their wives/partners)  may delude themselves!

She is a woman of great compassion and a good heart - who through the very role she was given (not born into I might add, like her son), has had to set herself apart to be able to fulfil it.  She has done so without giving in to the excesses, etc, that so many popstars, politicians, rich and (not so rich) famous people bleat about because of the 'pressures' of their jobs and lives!

She has quietly and conscientiously got on with her duties, with dignity and integrity and is an example of all that is best of the British character!

She's worth more than all the famous people who have come and gone in the years of her reign - and I hope that she will continue to do so for many years to come!  I certainly wouldn't want to see her spineless, and pathetic son take her place - some one whose word cannot be taken seriously!  After all he was happy to lie to God, his Queen and country and the world when he said his marriage vows in Westminster abbey to Diana!

  20. Yes!

  21. im not

  22. In a word   NO

  23. I'm not sure if I'm 'proud', but I do admire the Queen, and think she is a hard working and intelligent person who has fulfilled a difficult role with dignity.

Being Australian, the history of britain is of interest to me as part of my heritage is from over that way ;-), and the Queen is also Queen of Australia.

She makes a much finer figurehead for our country than some grasping politician in a boring grey suit, and I believe that having an apolitical figure who can speak on equal and better terms with any leader on the planet is a real asset to our country.

I also value the common bond we share with the Commonwealth and former Commonwealth nations, although as another answerer said the British Empire was not all good (and which empire was?).

    Cheers :-)
