1.Soon, so people will use their rebate checks to buy one

2. In the summer when more machines will be available

3. In time for Christmas, just after Thanksgiving?

Where do you see the average price for an average blue ray player to be?

  1. After the last studio said they were switching to BluRay, the LA Times reported that it was likely that BluRay players would go UP in price, not down, and that Sony was going to add features to future disks to get people who were early adopters to re-buy the players or be left out of new features like internet d/l of stuff.

    Netfilx is quietly saying that the reason BluRay disks have 'very long wait' is that Sony is limiting sales of the disks to rental outlets like Netfix and BlockBuster to force people to buy the disks.

    So thanks in part to the Sony FanBoys that mindlessly shouted "BluRay" is better, Sony is raising prices because the competition was put out of business..


  2. Most industry experts are predicing them to dip to below 299 by Christmas, there may even be a few at 250 dollars by then depending on how aggressive the sales are for the holidays,
