what if circumstances are unavoidable, like neither the guy nor the girl involved is able to take care of the child?

what is your general openion on abortion?

Abortion is not evil but not being able to take care of a baby is not uncontrollable or unavoidable. That should have been thought about before the unprotected s*x part.  I would not judge anyone. Ultimately its up to you but the fact you are asking shows you have your doubts. There are so many loving people out there who cant have babies of their own so adoption is an option. Personally I don&#039;t think I could have an abortion but I have friends who have and I would never look at them any differently. Everyone has their reasons. Good luck with your decision.

Abortion isn&#039;t evil by any means.  I&quot;ve had two due to a rape and divorce and my daughter had one due to age.  If you are not ready for a child, why bring one into a society that&#039;s adopting from out of the country?  

Use birth control next time.  Abortion isn&#039;t a natural form or birth control.  It hurts and costs money.

The parents not being able to care for the child is NO reason to get an abortion. There is always adoption. I mean really, at least give the baby a chance to live &amp; have a happy life instead of killing it &amp; acting like it never existed.

if adoption is legal, there is no reason why abortion should not. we have no backspace button in our lives....i mean it would be nice to have some tools or means by which we can repair the damage done in the past to have a less troubled future.

I think abortion is a good solution. I mean it sounds like you have thought this through. A woman has the right to do whatever she wants to with her body, with or without the fathers consent. If he had unprotected s*x with you then that is too bad, he knew what the circumstances could be when he made that decision to have s*x. You need to do what is best for you. I mean having a child is a life long commitment and if you are not ready you should not feel obligated to bring a child into this world. It will change your life forever.

I do agree with the choice to have one if the pregnancy was an accident and was not planned.  People make mistakes and birth control does fail.

Abortion is a very difficult issue, I think it very much depends on the circumstances. I think it&#039;s much, much better to give the child a chance of life - adoption should always be considered, and the situation should always be looked at carefully to see if there is any other way. But in certain circumstances, I definitely think it is an option that should not be ruled out, and I don&#039;t think it&#039;s evil. If the baby is a product of rape or abuse, or if the mother-to-be is a child herself, then I think it is always an option.

One other thing - I think that if an abortion is decided on, it should be done as quickly as possible, and definitely not after the first few months and every day that passes the baby is growing, its brain is developing and the heartbeat is getting stronger. And it should NOT be used as a method of birth-control!

I think abortion is wrong and should not be done unless the women was rapped or she could loose her life.  Instead of having an abortion you could give the baby up for adoption.  Their are many women who can&#039;t have children and would love to have a baby.  If you would like to keep the baby their are many programs that will help you with everything you need for the baby until you get on your feet.  I think you should think of all your options before you decide on an abortion.
